The Southern Harford County Rotary (SHCR) Club is able to assist charitable organizations and to give scholarships through the money it raises from events. SHCRC has made a difference in our community over the past several years.

2017 Co-Recipient Extreme Family Outreach

Extreme Family Outreach is an intensive community based 501(c)(3) organization that conducts Community Impact Programs providing educational and emotional support to children and families in many under-served communities throughout Harford County. We invest in neighborhoods that are characterized by low to moderate income levels and higher rates of families with members in treatment programs along the with single parent homes that has limited access to constructive activities, resources, and/or transportation.

2017 Co-Recipient Beyond Limits

Founded in 2015, Beyond Limits is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our mission is to provide advocacy services to families of children with disabilities in Maryland to help ensure that each child gets the education he or she deserves. We are child advocates and a resource for parents in central Maryland. You need a partner with experience who knows how the Special Education system works. Educational consultants are here to help you through the process. We can even provide classroom observations, so you are certain that your child gets the services that he or she is entitled to receive.

Heart of Justice:
Just Advice Clinic at Village of Lakeview

The Harford County Bar Foundation (HCBF) will provide a brief Advice Clinic serving women, children, and families in need of immediate free legal advice, assist and identify areas of need, fill out needed forms, and contact support agencies on behalf of the client. They will provide follow up service and direct representation as appropriate.

The Y in Central Maryland provides affordable child care for families in Southern Harford County through theirĀ  Riverside Preschool, and their Before and After School Enrichment programs (BASE) at Abingdon Elementary, Deerfield Elementary, Riverside Elementary, and William Paca Elementary.

This year's Snowball proceeds helped Extreme Family Outreach purchase a van to support to children in the at-risk areas of Southern Harford County
